Social Learning Theory

Question: Which theory of gender-role development do you believe in the most: social learning theory or gender schema theory? Why is that? Answer: Both the theories of the gender schema and the social learning are very much relevant to the day-to-day life. It is because both the theories explain how the children make the determination of their role as a girl or a boy. Both the methods also helps the boys and the girls to make the determination of the appropriate behavior that their gender must possess. In the practical world, the children emerge with the internal rules of gender that are based on the theory of social learning (Akers et al., 2015). Hence, it can be said the theory of social learning is much more useful in the practical life (O'Connor et al., 2013). Reference List Akers, R. L., Jennings, W. G. (2015).
